Services

Our Space Psychology strives to provide a professional and supportive service that meets the unique needs of our clients.

We offer Individual sessions (adults, adolescent and children), family sessions, SKYPE sessions and Clinical Supervision and Training.

Individual Therapy

Individual “talking therapy” allows people to discuss their problems and any difficult feelings they encounter in a safe, confidential environment. In general, it is a process people seek when they want to change something in their lives or simply explore their thoughts and feelings in more depth. Counselling does not come in a cookie-cutter format and each session is generally tailored to the individual.

Family Therapy

At times, families get into difficulties due to their differences, or feel the strain when loved ones have troubles. The aim of therapy is to work on these problems by encouraging family members and loved ones to help and empathise with each other. They are given the opportunity to understand and appreciate each other’s needs, build on family strengths and ultimately make useful changes in their lives and relationships.

Clinical Supervision and Training

Our Space Psychology provides both clinical supervision and can include:

  • General supervision of clinical work for professional development
  • Supervision for the Clinical Psychology registrar program (AHPRA)
  • Supervision of postgraduate clinical psychology student

Training Modules include:

  • Attachment and trauma in the residential care setting
  • Domestic Violence
  • Complex Trauma and Dissociation

SKYPE

Skype Therapy sessions

Therapy using Skype is convenient for people that have difficulty travelling to appointments either because of distance/remoteness, mobility problems, anxiety issues which prevent you leaving your home, people with childcare commitments or simply those with a busy work and travel schedule.
